Spoke with Michael <br />Algots (916-580-9999) with Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) who is the responsible <br />party. Per Michael, UPRR has hired Patriot Environmental Services to conduct <br />clean up. Clean up is pending. No storm drains or waterways were impacted. <br />Spoke with Robert Isom (661-431-9266) of Patriot Environmental and he be in <br />charge of leading the clean up. Per Robert, he is working on getting a roll off bin <br />for the soil that will have to be disposed of. Robert stated that he hopes to conduct <br />clean up on 8/3/22. I provided Robert with my phone number and asked that he <br />contact me when they begin clean up and before they have completed it. Issued a <br />notice to abate to the responsible party and emailed it to Michael Algots at <br />mjalgots@up.com. <br />Drove around the area on East Hazelton Avenue and Aurora St to locate the spill. <br />Was unable to locate where spill occurred, no areas appeared to be secured off. <br />Called Michael Algots to inquire about whether they will be securing the area <br />pending clean up. Received a call back from Michael Algots. He provided me with <br />the local Special Agent whose name is Brian Baker (209-273-8951). Brian <br />informed me that the area has not been secured and there aren't plans to do so. <br />Per Brian, the contents are contained within the buckets. Emailed amended notice <br />to abate to Michael Algots at mjalgots@up.com. Amended notice to abate <br />included the following "Secure the surrounding area to prevent access to <br />individuals prior to cleanup and provide proof to the EHD.
