Called SJ General Hospital, 209-468-6000 and confirmed that I
received the Cal OES Spill Report Update. The original OES Spill Report was for 8
ounces of engine oil spilled onto dock and water at Stockton Downtown Marina.
The updated information was: 1/2 Cup motor oil released from a bucket while
suspected responsible party (SRP) was working on their vessel.
Suspected responsible party address added to OES spill report update: Scott
Sherman, 5917 Fern St., Stockton, CA 95207.
02/26/2020 2:41 PM Received page from front desk. and OES Spill report #20-1120.
Followed up with front desk.
2:55 PM Called Chris Magro. Chris reported that Scott Sherman, owner of the
boat, was working on his boat and collected engine oil in a bucket. Later, Caesar's
Details Yachts and Boats was detailing boats on site and accidentally knocked the
oil bucket and spilled approximately 8 ounces onto dock and water. The lead dock
person immediately applied absorbent pads and hard boom to contain oil.
Chris explained that the waste absorbent will be placed in a white container and
will be picked up by supplier when they restock.
I explained that a hazardous waste label needs to be on the container and the
facility needs to have bills of lading or consolidated manifests for the pick up of
contaminated absorbent pads. He will check on that.
4:50 PM Headed out to site.
02/26/2020 Discussed spill response with Muniappa Naidu and Elena Manzo. Muni called
Chris Magro, Director of Marina Operations at Stockton Downtown Marina at
323-613-5521 and provided option to dispose of used absorbent pads at the
Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
MURO
MURO
51 05. rpt Page 1 of 4
