Operator reported a potential MURO
release from a boat at Stockton Marina. She provided contact information for Chris
Magro, manager at Stockton Marina. I called Chris (323-613-5521). Chris reported
there was a boat accident that occurred. The boat went into the marina Slip D3.
The boat then proceeded to sink. Chris was not on-site, however his dock men
were on-site responding to the incident. Dock men reported to Chris that no sheen
was observed, but since there is a potential for release, dock men deployed hard
boom surrounding Slip D3 and soft boom was deployed in the area surrounding
the sinking boat. I requested photos from Chris. I asked Chris if he was going to
report this incident to the Cal OES, he said he will but he was away from the office,
and asked if I could provide that number to him. I sent Chris a text with the Cal
OES phone number. Chris texted photos of the sinking boat before and after the
boom was deployed.
I called Lead Seniors Stacy Rivera, Haza Saeed, and Garrett Backus. I was able
to speak to Garrett and provide boat incident information.
11:56 PM Chris provided the Cal OES Control #: 21-4112 and photos of the
sinking boat.
5105.rpt Page 1 of 4
