Complaint Investigation Summary Report #: 5105
COMPLAINT ID: COWEOCWDQ Site Location: 705 W WEBER AVE
Activity Summary
Activity Date Recorded by
08/01/2021 continued from 7-31-2021. MURO
12:00 AM
I asked Chris for photo of Slip D3 after boom was in place.
12:02 AM Received Cal OES Control #: 21-4112.
Called OES to confirm receipt of spill report (916-845-8911).
Received photos of Slip D3 with hard and soft boom in place. The boat's bow
seems to be sticking out above water.
Received another page at 12:33 AM. It was the San Joaquin General Hospital. I
spoke with operator who said she was calling because the California Department
of Public Health had called to confirm that EHD had received the spill report.
However she could not catch the name and phone number and the call was lost
due to having received a Code 1 trauma call. I let her know I will call CDPH.
12:44 AM I called CDPH duty officer on-call, Liz 916-869-6627. I confirmed receipt
of the spill report.
I let Chris Magro know I will be following up with him in the morning to check boat
status.
Entered narrative.
11:53 am Called Chris Magro for follow-up. Chris stated Fish and Wildlife Officer
Ryan Thiem had gone to the site and provided his contact information. Chris also
provided photos of the submerged boat and boat owner information.
Called Ryan Thiem (Fish and Wildlife) 415-209-4739 left message.
Ryan called back. Spoke to Ryan Thiem. Ryan stated that he had gone to the
Stockton Marina. He was not worried since did not observe any sheen or detect
fuel odor. He stated that he will not be returning to the site.
5105.rpt Page 2 of 4
