Complainant stated that the nitrate VUE <br />public notification was not given to complainant. Complainant had been drinking <br />the water and was not aware of the contamination. Lab work was done and <br />showed nitrate in complainant's bloodstream. Complainant was not aware of the <br />notice until another resident passed the information to complainant. Complainant <br />asked if any legal actions can be done for failing to notify complainant. <br />Informed complainant that our department is monitoring the water quality and will <br />do enforcement when necessary. <br />Followed up with the property owner to redistribute updated nitrate public <br />notification to the residents. <br />03/06/2023 Received a call from complainant that the owner has distributed the nitrate public VUE <br />notification today and did not give a copy to complainant. Requested for <br />complainant's email address to send a copy to complainant. Directed complainant <br />to Community Development Department Code Enforcement for substandard <br />housing complaint. <br />03/07/2023 Received updated nitrate public notification and compliance certification from the VUE <br />property owner. <br />03/29/2023 Drafted inspection report.
