October 15, 1984
Project 116-1.3
- 2 -
TABLE 2 - GROUP 1 WASTE
Month FMC (cu. yds.)
July, 1984 0
August, 1984 660
September, 1984 0
TOTAL 660
Sumps in Group 1 Disposal Trenches #1 through #4 were checked for the
presence of accumulated leachate on October 1, 1984 and were found to be
dry.
Monitoring well #10 was found to have been temporarily damaged during the
current monitoring period and we were unable to obtain a sample. We are
currently repairing the well, and will sample it as soon as possible.
Groundwater samples were collected from Monitoring Wells #7 through#16,
with the exception of #10, on October 1, 1984. Prior to sampling, each
well was bailed to remove a volume of water equal to five well volumes.
The sample was then collected and filtered through a #42 Whatman Filter
Paper to remove suspended solids. The sample was split and half of each
sample was fixed with nitric acid to preserve for metal ions. Analyses
of groundwater samples are attached in Appendix A.
These sampling methods and subsequent analyses are in conformance with
"Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater". Analyses
were performed by California Water Labs of Modesto, California, a water
laboratory certified by the California Department of Health Services.
If you have any questions regarding the contents of this report, please
call.
Respectfully submitted,
BETA ASSOCIATES
Jack E.
