LI
7. Roads necessary for the safe operation of Forward Landfill during inclement
weather have been Winterized with layers of Road Base, Gravel, Asphalt and or
Recycled Asphalt. Roads have been graded in such a way as to direct water to the
appropriate collection point. All roads will be cleaned as needed to prevent the
build up of mud and tracking of mud from Forward Landfill on to Austin Road.
a. Due to the construction of WMU D99 it has been necessary to build a new
access road from the western boundary of Forward to the entrance of WMU D99.
This road has a compacted clay base with an additional six inches (6) of road base
then approximately three inches (3) of recycled A -B and Road Oil to bind the
material together. A thin layer of sand was then applied to absorb any excess oil.
Winter2000.doc
