al RTS Emergency Response and Training Solutions
Emergency Response:
On January 12, 2023, at 0554 ET, Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores retained Emergency
Response and Training Solutions (ERTS) to manage and oversee environmental operations.
ERTS dispatched Patriot Environmental Services out of Sacramento, CA to perform emergency
response and cleanup activities.
Regulatory Notifications:
On January 12, 2023, at 0857 ET, pursuant to California Code, Section 8670.25.5 Government
Code Section 8670.25-8670.27, ERTS notified the California Emergency Management Agency of
the release. Romney took receipt of the call and issued reference number 23-0373 to this incident.
At 0903 ET, ERTS then attempted to notify the San Joaquin County CUPA, the San Joaquin
Environmental Health but there was no answer.
Corrective Action:
On January 12, 2023, at 0825 ET, Patriot Environmental Services personnel arrived onsite and
located the release. It was reported approximately 10-gallons of motor oil released impacting an
approximate 70' by 4' area of the asphalt parking lot. Granular absorbents were deployed and
worked in with push brooms. The spent material was recovered and containerized into a 55-
gallon drum. The wase drum was staged at the direction of the Love's Travel Stops personnel to
be coordinated for proper disposal by their environmental representative. Please see the attached
photos provided by Patriot Environmental (Appendix 2).
Waste Disposal:
All waste was staged to be managed by Love's Travel Stops.
Conclusion and Recommendations:
The release has been completely remediated and no evidence was found that suggests any
significant environmental impact remains on the site. ERTS suggests that this project be closed,
and no further remedial action be taken.
ERTS and Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores appreciate your assistance in this matter. If
you have any questions regarding this project, please do not hesitate to contact me at (440) 349-
2700 Ext 552.
Respectfully,
WadAV/1E4M
Racheal Healy — Williams
Project Manager
Emergency Response and Training Solutions
ERTS
11231 Phillips Industrial Blvd. Bldg. 1, Ste 300 • Jacksonville, FL 32256 • USA
phone number: 440.349.2700 I fax number: 440.349.6713
ertsonline.com
