They received information that ALANIZ <br />several cars had allegedly been buried on the property. In addition, they were <br />informed that there was an alleged "oil dump site" on the property. Received <br />photos of the alleged complaint from the complainant. <br />2:00 PM: Left for the site. <br />Conducted a site visit with Paul Nso, EHS, and Elena Manzo, lead senior REHS. <br />Permission to inspect the property and take photos was granted by the office <br />manager, Kylie Spingola. <br />During the site walk-through, I observed a rusted car placed onto soil. The car was <br />located at the north end of the pesticide storage warehouse near a CAL-WASTE <br />40-yard roll-off bin. The car was partially dismantled and covered by soil residue <br />suggesting that it had been recently unearthed. Approximately half a cup of car <br />fluids had leaked onto the soil from the excavated car. According to received <br />photographic evidence, this car was previously buried onsite. The shallow <br />excavation pit from which the car was removed was filled with liquid during car <br />removal activities, and stacks of pallets were placed over the location where the <br />hole had been backfilled. <br />Dark oily staining was also observed on the soil near the silo and parked trucks. <br />One pallet of Peters Excel 15-5-15 observed in Greenhouse 3 D had material that <br />had leaked down the sides of the cardboard. The bottom of the cardboard had <br />dark stains and was saturated. <br />Two pallets of Nature Safe 10-2-8 observed in Greenhouse 3 D had holes in bags <br />where the contents had leaked onto the floor. <br />Observed the following hazardous materials over the threshold limit for the <br />Hazardous Material Business Plan (HMBP) program (exact quantity unknown): <br />-Propane (two large tanks and several smaller cylinders for the forklifts) <br />Nutricote Total 18-6-8 Type 140 (5.5 pallets) <br />Nature Safe 10-2-8 (13 pallets) <br />-Peters Excel 15-5-15 (1 pallet) <br />4:15: Left for the EHD. <br />08/02/2021 Received a phone call from a complainant and created ER Complaint NSO <br />investigation form on buried vehicles and possible oil dump. <br />5105 rpt <br />Page 1 of 4
