VESERIS
Contingency Plan
Section 1 — Effective Date Supersedes Page
Objectives of the Plan 9/20/2021 New 1-1
1. OBJECTIVES:
To define specific procedures to be used by key Veseris personnel in the
event of an emergency, and to assign specific responsibilities to Veseris
personnel and contractors during the implementation of this plan.
This plan provides a total facility response program applicable to any
emergency. responses required in the event of a specific type of
emergency:
fire,
explosion,
chemical spill,
hazardous waste incident or
natural disaster -- are spelled out.
It enables branch personnel, in the event of an emergency, to undertake
actions that minimize any threat to the facility, employees, residential and
business neighbors, company assets, adjoining properties, and to human
health and the environment. In addition, contractors working at the facility are
required to follow Veseris' plan and implement equivalent compliant policies
and procedures or follow the Veseris policies and procedures to ensure full
compliance with OSHA requirements.
Each Veseris facility will maintain a master copy of the plan which will be
kept in one location at the facility, accessible to anyone needing the plan in
an emergency situation. Copies will be distributed to key personnel (those
with responsibilities during emergency situations). All employees and
contractors will receive training on the plan and what their role is in the event
of an emergency. This plan serves as the Emergency Action Plan defined by
OSHA in 29 CFR 1910.38 and 1910.119.
The plan is organized so that changes in personnel, procedures and
regulations can be easily incorporated into the plan as they occur, assuring
up-to-date
