The remaining <br /> area inside the fencing is proposed to be a compacted gravel surface with a lignin <br /> treatment to be maintained to eliminate dust travelling onto any adjacent roadways . <br /> There will be 2 concrete aprons to provide access from Pock Lane that extend 20 feet <br /> within the Property Line per 9 -406 - 080 g ( 6 ) . In order to protect the ground water level <br /> and preserve the natural drainage as much as possible , the proposed gravel surfacing <br /> will provide for the stated desire of providing " a similar material sufficient thickness and <br /> consistency to support anticipated traffic volumes and weights , properly graded for <br /> drainage , and maintained in good condition . " ( 9 -406 . 100 3 ( e ) . <br /> Based on California Green Building Standards Code A4 . 106 . 4 , permeable paving <br /> should be utilized for parking , walking or patio surfaces where not less than 30 % of total <br /> parking shall be permeable . Additionally, the EPA recommends LID ( low impact <br /> development ) that " employs principles such as preserving and recreating natural <br /> landscape features , minimizing effective imperviousness to create functional and <br /> appealing site drainage that treat stormwater as a resource rather than a waste <br /> product . " The proposed gravel surface will aid in minimizing effective imperviousness . <br /> After clearing and grubbing the site , the existing top 6 " will be scarified and mixed with <br /> concrete and be compacted to a minimum of 90 % .
