AT 7:15 PM COMPLAINANT BEGAN TO <br />EXPERIENCE SYMPTOMS OF DIARRHEA. DIARRHEA, ALONG WITH NAUSEA, VOMITING, AND FEVER CONTINUED <br />UNTIL MONDAY. ON MONDAY 06/26/23 PHYSICIAN PRESCRIBED MEDICATION THAT SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED <br />THE SYMPTOMS. STOOL OR BLOOD SAMPLES WERE NOT TAKEN BUT ALLEGEDLY PHYSICIAN INDICATED THAT <br />SYMPTOMS WERE SYNONYMOUS WITH E-COLI INFECTION. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodbome illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />#15 Food from Approved Source Major <br />OBSERVATIONS: Per employee in truck beans are cooked at home. Per owner, beans are cooked at a commercial <br />kitchen. Food stored or prepared in a private home shall not be used or offered for sale in a food facility, unless that food is <br />prepared by a cottage food operation that has a permit. Provide name and address of commercial kitchen where beans are <br />cooked to lbaker@sjgov.org or discontinue cooking beans at home. Discard all food items not prepared inside the truck or a <br />commercial kitchen. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food shall be obtained from an approved source. (113980, 113982, 114021-114031, 114035, 114041) <br />#1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br />OBSERVATIONS: Current food manager's certificate and food handler cards were not available during the inspection. <br />Provide a copy of a valid 5 - year food manager's certificate and a copy of each current food handler card to <br />lbaker@sjgov.org within 14 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br />assigned duties. (113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination.
