Body Art Facility Infection Prevention And Control Plan Guideline <br />C. Storage: Describe the storage location and equipment used for the storage of clean and sterilized <br />instrument peel packs to protect the packages from exposure to dust and moisture (California Health <br />and Safety Code 119315 (c)). <br />All equipment is stored in dark cabinets to prevent exposure to dust/moisture/sunlight <br />D. Set Up and Tear Down of Workstation: Describe the procedure for setting up and tearing down <br />the workstation for the following procedures (California Health and Safety Code 119308, 119309 <br />(c), 119311, and 119313 (b)(4)). <br />1. Tattoo: <br />N/A <br />2. Piercing: <br />N/A <br />3. Permanent Cosmetics: <br />Spray and disinfect work areas including counters/trays/ring light/treatment bed/stool. Cover work tray with disposable plastic bag <br />and dental No.barrier tape on ring lignt w ere i may toucri ff during proceclure. ACICI plastic cover to nead rest. Acid massage <br />bed cover to treatment bed. After procedure, plastic head cover, massage bed cover, and other trash will go in the plastic cover on the tray. <br />Sharps will be disposed of immediately after procedure into Sharps Container. Bed/counters/ring light/stool/ will then be sprayed and <br />wip in. <br />4. Branding: <br />N/A <br />E. Prevention of Cross Contamination: Describe the techniques used to prevent the contamination <br />of instruments, tattoo machines, trays, tables, chairs, clip cords, power supplies, squeeze bottles, <br />inks, pigments, lamps, stools, soaps, procedure sites and additional areas of potential contamination <br />during body art procedures. Include barriers provided to prevent cross contamination. Describe how <br />procedure sites are prepared for a body art procedures. (California health and Safety Code 119308, <br />119309, and 119311 (c)(d)(e)(f)). <br />Cross contamination will be prevented by disinfecting surface areas before and after procedure.
