Biological Resources Evaluation Report <br /> Griffith Energy Project <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> Griffith Energy proposes to construct and operate a 400-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS), <br /> substations, and associated infrastructure on approximately 20 acres of a 106-acre site of privately-owned <br /> land. Only 102.6 acres of grazing land are available for Project development because 3.4 acres of the <br /> Project area consist of residential plots. The precise locations of the facilities and access roads have not <br /> been determined as this time. <br /> The Project would include the construction of: <br /> • BESS. <br /> • Project electrical substations. <br /> • Access roads. <br /> • Generation tie line. <br /> • Perimeter fencing. <br /> Construction would include site preparation, grading, preparing staging areas, and construction of the <br /> Project. A conceptual design of the Project would be completed prior to initiating the permitting and CEQA <br /> process and the design may be refined during the process. <br /> Tetra Tech, Inc. 2-1 July 2023 <br />
