Photos of these potential dens and burrows are included in Appendix <br /> A. <br /> 5.5.10 American Badger <br /> American badger is a CDFW Species of Special Concern. This species has been previously recorded 1 <br /> mile northwest of the Project site in 2014 and 3 miles from the Project site in 2015 (CDFW 2021a). This <br /> species is a habitat generalist and this species could forage and reside in grazed grasslands of the San <br /> Joaquin valley. The Project site and 150-meter buffer contain friable soils for dens and an abundant prey <br /> base of small mammals.While no American badger sign or dens were found during the survey,this species <br /> could forage and reside within the Project site and the 150-meter buffer. <br /> 5.5.11 Special-status Species with Potential to Occur within the Project Site <br /> Based on the results of the general biological survey, the potential to occur for each special-status plant <br /> and wildlife species has been reviewed and updated and is provided in Table 6.
