(see 72.3= Reiationship to Other Plans and <br /> Programs). <br /> 7.2.2 Vision and Purpose <br /> Except for Mountain House Creek and Old River, the new community has little in <br /> the way of natural attributes or distinct features that would give the community <br /> identity. However,by onhancing these fi 8tures and effectively incorporating them <br /> into the park system, they can become not only valuable open space resources, <br /> but also can create a visual identity for the community. These features will also be <br /> extremely critical in providing both visual and usable open space in what will <br /> otherwise be a densely developed community. <br /> The land use plan uses a hierarchy of new }park open spaces to organize <br /> Neighborhoods and community elements. Each element of the parks system has <br /> a different purpose, each of which is critical to the community. Neighborhood <br /> Parks ate planned as part of each Neighborhood Center to serve local, family- <br /> oriented recreation in clo$e association with K-8 scho-nls- Community Parks crf2r <br /> a greater range of active recreational activities and community gatherings at <br /> locations near the Town Center. The Mountain House Greek Park incorporates <br /> storm drainage and wildlife habitat with ❑pen space uses.
