Load Checking Program <br /> Tracy Material Recovery&Transfer Facility <br /> 30703 S. MacArthur Drive, Tracy, CA 95377 <br /> check for PW. <br /> • Record the inspection information on the load check form. <br /> • Ask the driver to unload or dump their waste in a manner that spreads the waste, <br /> allowing for easy inspection of the waste load. <br /> • Use a rake to examine the waste pile for PW material. <br /> • Segregate any PW found in the load and accurately record the PW on the load <br /> check form. <br /> • Return the PW to the generator at the time of inspection or temporarily store the <br /> waste in the onsite hazardous waste storage container to be returned to the <br /> generator at a later time as indicated in Section 9. <br /> • Remove the delineators from the targeted load and inform equipment operators <br /> that the load is clear to push. <br /> 7. Load Check Documentation <br /> 7.1. Standard Load Check Form <br /> California State law requires each solid waste facility to maintain documentation <br /> of load checks performed. Each load check will be documented on the Facility <br /> standard load check form which is provided in the attachments to this document. <br /> Each load check form must be filed out with the following information: <br /> • Date and time of inspection, in this section the Load Checker will place the <br /> current date and time of the inspection; <br /> • Hauler/company name/customer name, driver name, vehicle make/model, <br /> license plate number, load origin (jurisdiction, and customer/store where picked <br /> up); <br /> • Materials found (type/name, class, container size/quantity, volume/weight, unit of <br /> measure: gallons or pounds); <br /> • Comments (picked up by responsible party, returned with carrier at time of <br /> inspection, load was free of PW, solid waste facility assumed responsibility of the <br /> material, etc.). <br /> • Inspector name, in this section the Load Checker will write his or her name, and <br /> sign the Form <br /> The forms will be turned into the Operations Manager for his/her review and <br /> signature and will be filed in a binder located at his desk and readily accessible <br /> for review by regulatory agencies. <br /> 7.2. Large Quantity Incident Report <br /> When large quantities of PW are found the facility will use the standard load <br /> check form as described above in section 7.1 . To better document the large <br /> quantity incident the Operations Manager will ensure the following additional <br /> information is obtained and stapled to the standard load check form. <br /> • Photos of the PW <br /> • A copy of the waste disposal receipt <br /> 11 <br />
