Load Checking Program <br /> Tracy Material Recovery&Transfer Facility <br /> 30703 S. MacArthur Drive,Tracy, CA 95377 <br /> • Brief description of the incident including responsible party contact and final <br /> disposition of the waste. <br /> • Notify the LEA <br /> 7.3. Bills of Lading <br /> When the Facility accumulates universal waste such as cathode ray tubes <br /> (CRTs), electronic devices and florescent light bulbs, the waste must be shipped <br /> off site for proper disposal. Each shipment of universal waste must be recorded <br /> and tracked on a Bill of Lading. Each Bill of Lading form must be maintained by <br /> the operator for a minimum of three years and filed in the administrative offices. <br /> 7.4. Household Hazardous Waste <br /> For PW types that are identified prior to unloading, generators are directed to the <br /> San Joaquin County HHW Facility in Stockton. When the Facility accumulates <br /> hazardous waste for 90 days the waste must be shipped off site for proper <br /> disposal. Each shipment of hazardous waste must be recorded and tracked on a <br /> Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest which is identified with the facility EPA ID <br /> number Each Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest form has several copies. Two <br /> of the copies must be maintained by the facility for a minimum of three years and <br /> filed properly. The Facility utilizes the services of a certified HHW vendor to <br /> manage accumulated materials and provide copies of proper documentation for <br /> their records. <br /> 8. Discovery of Prohibited Waste <br /> When PW are found, the following procedures are to be followed by load check staff: <br /> 8.1. Self-Haul <br /> When PW is discovered in a self-haul waste load, the waste is returned to the <br /> customer at that time and is requested to go to the San Joaquin County HHW <br /> Facility in Stockton. The Load Checker informs the customer that the facility <br /> cannot accept the waste and that it is illegal for the customer to attempt to <br /> dispose of the PW at the facility. The Load Checker will provide the customer <br /> with information that the customer can dispose of the HHW at the San Joaquin <br /> County HHW Facility in Stockton. The Load Checker should inform the customer <br /> that there are laws that prevent any person from transporting hazardous waste <br /> over the following quantities: <br /> • Hazardous waste, 5 gallons or 50 pounds. <br /> • Recyclable latex paint, 10 gallons or 100 pounds of total combined volume to be <br /> transported by individual to a recycle-only household hazardous waste collection <br /> facility per Health and Safety Code Section 25218.5. <br /> • Oil filters and antifreeze, 10 gallons or 100 pounds of total combined volume to <br /> be transported by individual to a recycle-only household hazardous waste <br /> collection facility per Health and Safety Code Section 25218. <br /> • Lead acid batteries, up to 10, California Code of Regulations, Title 13, and <br /> 12 <br />
