SB-1383 measurements of the residual contaminates left in the processed food (17409.5.4) and the residual organics left in the contaminates (17409.5.5) need to be added. Also add where the source separated processed food waste will go next. The RCSI states on page 8 that co-collected food waste will be composted at maximum of 15%co-collected food with green waste. Source separated food waste can be composted at 40%food using static pile. The site does not currently have a static pile system set up. Will any of the processed food waste be shipped off site to another composter? Please also submit another E-177 with the RFI amendment box checked. I am hoping that you might be able to provide more detailed information about what revisions to the RFI are needed in that regard. Below is the current language, starting on page 12, which anticipated the installation and utilization of this equipment: Food Waste Processing The food waste processing equipment would be located inside the Material Recovery Facility or a stand-alone building onsite. The proposed building would be permitted and constructed with an air handling system, water source, and appropriate drainage control; the LEA would be notified of the proposed location prior to construction. The proposed equipment for the facility includes a hopper, sort line conveyor, sort line grinder feed conveyor, hammer mill grinder, grinder discharge conveyor and stacking conveyor for loading a truck or bins to transport separated food waste to a compost or anaerobic digestion facility. Source separated food waste from commercial, industrial, or residential locations would be delivered to the indoor food waste processing area where it would be tipped directly into the 8
