The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for AAMCO TRANSMISSION as of December 19, 2023. <br /> Open violations from October 30, 2023 inspection <br /> Violation#106-Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated that employees who handle hazardous <br /> waste were properly trained.There is oil floating on the top of an oil drum and absorbent contaminated with used oil <br /> observed on the ground next to secondary containment. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#110-Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide all hazardous waste disposal records for the past three <br /> years during the inspection. The only manifest document found on site for the last 3 years is a receipt for disposal of <br /> 180 gallons of used oil from Sept 27,2023. Provide all hazardous waste manifests(used oil, used filters, oily <br /> wastewater and used oily absorbent). Per Vincent Kemp Vanee, used oil and used oily absorbent gets picked up <br /> every 3 months. Oily wastewater gets picked up annually. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for the past three years for all hazardous waste listed <br /> above.
