<br /> <br /> Forward Landfill WMU FU-23 02300 27 EARTHWORK <br />3.17 DITCHES AND TRENCHES <br /> <br /> A. Place general earthfill, as necessary, and excavate ditches and trenches to achieve <br />grade and dimensions shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> B. Excavate, as necessary, to repair any existing drainage structure damaged during <br />construction. <br /> <br />C. Minimum width of trenches shall be 12-inches greater than outside diameter or <br />width of pipe. Maximum trench width is unlimited, unless otherwise shown or <br />specified, or unless width will cause damage to existing facilities, adjacent <br />property, or completed work. <br /> <br />D. Pipe bedding grooves shall be semi-circular, trapezoidal, or 90 degree V. The <br />grooves shall be excavated or plowed into the trench bottom. Forming groove by <br />compaction will not be acceptable. <br /> <br />3.18 SLURRY CEMENT MIXTURE <br /> <br /> A. Place slurry cement mixture at the locations shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> B. The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall repair or replace any materials <br />damaged during placement of the slurry cement mixture, at the EARTHWORK <br />CONTRACTOR’s sole expense. <br /> <br /> <br />3.19 PLYWOOD SHEETING <br /> <br /> A. Install at the locations shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> <br />3.20 LYSIMETERS <br /> <br /> A. Install as shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br />3.21 CONCRETE <br /> <br /> A. Construct concrete at the locations shown on the Construction Drawings in <br />accordance with the provisions in CalTrans Standard Specification Section 90-10, <br />Minor Concrete. <br /> <br />3.22 PIPE SUPPORT AND PIPE CLAMP <br /> <br /> A. Install at the locations shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> B. CONTRACTOR shall submit details of planned pipe support and clamp to <br />DESIGN ENGINEER for approval prior to construction. <br />
