Forward Landfill WMU FU-23 <br />02771 1 GEOTEXTILES <br />SECTION 02771 GEOTEXTILES PART 1 GENERAL 1.1 WORK INCLUDED A. This section covers the Work necessary to furnish and install nonwoven geotextiles for separation of the Granular Drainage Material and the Protective Operations Layer, to envelope the Coarse Gravel surrounding the leachate collection pipe and within the sumps, to envelope the granular drainage material around the lysimeter pipe, to provide a cushion between the granular drainage material and HDPE Geomembrane, and to protect the leading edge of the geomembrane. It is the responsibility of the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR to procure and deliver the material to the site and to ensure that all submittals are adequate and approved. The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall unload and store the geotextile if the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR is not onsite and shall install the filter geotextile. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall install the cushion geotextile. <br />B. This Work includes furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, construction equipment, and materials necessary to install the geotextiles described by these Specifications and Construction Drawings. 1.2 REFERENCES A.
