Separate damaged rolls from undamaged rolls and store at locations designated by the OWNER until proper disposition of material is determined by the QA/QC CONSULTANT and the OWNER. 3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for damage to the Geocomposite during delivery, even if the rolls are unloaded by the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will determine damage. 4. Deliver in rolls, do not fold. C. Storage on Site: 1. Store Geocomposite rolls in the space allocated by the OWNER. 2. Store Geocomposite rolls to protect from puncture, dirt, grease, water, moisture, mud, mechanical abrasions, excessive heat or other damage. 3. Store Geocomposite rolls on prepared surface (not on wooden pallets). 4. Stack Geocomposite rolls no more than three rolls high. D. Handling on Site: 1. Use appropriate handling equipment to load, move, and deploy Geocomposite rolls. Appropriate handling equipment includes cloth chokers and spreader bars for loading, and spreader and roll bars for deployment. Dragging panels on ground surface will not be permitted. 2. Do not fold Geocomposite; folded material will be rejected. 3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR is responsible for off-loading, storage, and transporting material from storage area to installation site. PART 2 PRODUCTS <br />2.1 GENERAL <br />A. Geocomposite with a nonwoven geotextile bonded to one side of the geonet. The geonet side shall be placed facing down. <br />2.2 GEOCOMPOSITE PROPERTIES <br />A. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall furnish geocomposites having properties that comply with the required property values shown in Table 02774-1. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall provide results of tests performed using the procedures listed in Table 02774-1, as well as certification that the materials meet or exceed the specified values. <br />B. In addition to the property values listed in Table 02774-1, the Geocomposites shall: <br />1. Retain their structure during handling, placement, and long-term service. 2. Be capable of withstanding outdoor exposure for a minimum of 15 days with no measurable deterioration. 3. Be chemically inert when immersed in the leachate from a typical sanitary landfill. 4. Geocomposite panels shall be of sufficient continuous length to cover the entire slope, including anchor trenches and runouts, without horizontal seaming.
