Per Hector, shop employee, the bucket was from previous work not <br /> conducted today. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close all hazardous waste containers and ensure all hazardous waste <br /> containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting <br /> documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -two 55-gallon drums of used oil were observed without a hazardous waste label <br /> -one 55-gallon drum of used absorbent was observed without a hazardous waste label <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
