0 0
machine and activates the bagger. A series of timers and relays start several
belts and chains to open and fill the plastic bag. Once the plastic bag is full the
bagger releases the package so that it can be conveyed to the sealing area. The
top of the plastic bag is then send through the hot air sealer so as to seal the bag
shut. After the bag is sealed it is conveyed to the palletizing station where it is
placed on a pallet. After several bags are placed on a pallet the pallet is then
carried to the stretch wrap machine to be wrapped for shipment. After the pallet
is wrapped the forklift again picks-up the pallet and moves it to a staging area
before it is loaded onto a truck for shipment to the market place.
The bagging process can go as fast as 30 bags per minute and can range in
sizes from 4-qt packages to 3 cubic foot packages. Product will generally be
staged for short periods of time before shipment, but will vary depending on the
time of the year.
If there are any questions concerning the equipment or process of the packaging
operation please contact Loren Jessop at (209)982-4936
