For Diesel to Gasoline Conversions <br /> 1 ) The Veeder Root gauging probe water float must be changed from a diesel <br /> f► oat to a gasoline float . <br /> 2 ) The submersible leak detector must be change to a gasoline leak detector . <br /> 3 ) Ensure Stage I vapor recovery system is installed and operable . Upgrade <br /> as required . <br /> 4 ) Change the tank vent cap from open cap to pressure vacuum vent cap . <br /> 5 ) Remove diesel filter assembly and install gasoline filter assembly . <br /> 6 ) The dispenser strainers in the meters should be changed from diesel <br /> strainers to gasoline strainers . <br /> 7 ) Change out the hoses , breakaways and nozzles on the dispenser . Add <br /> stage II accessories , if applicable . <br /> 8 ) Have your contractor see if the meter heads need to be adjusted to give <br /> you a ► ower flow rate . Gasoline must be limited to 10 gpm . <br /> 9 ) Adjust dispenser timers from 5 minutes to 3 minutes . <br /> 10 ) Re - label all dispensers with " Unleaded " label . Add appropriate Stage II <br /> labeling if required . <br /> 11 ) Calibrate the meters on the dispensers . <br /> 12 ) Re - paint the fill manhole and re - stencil concrete appropriately . <br /> 13 ) Re- program your Veeder Root to indicate the proper thermal coefficients <br /> for gasoline . <br /> Documentation Changes <br /> 1 . Update the tank registration/ permit to reflect the new fuel product stored in the tank . <br /> 2 . Update SARA Title III/ Hazardous Chemical Inventory Reporting/ Community Right- to - <br /> Know within 30 days of the product conversion . California locations must update the <br /> Hazardous Materials Business Plan . Submit revised MSDS list to , <br /> i ) State Emergency Response Committee . <br /> ii ) Local Emergency Planning Committee , <br /> Iii ) Local Fire Department and Airport Fire & Rescue ( for Gateways ) . <br /> 3 . California locations must update their written UST Monitoring Plan , <br /> 4 . Update Spill Response , SWPPP and SPCC Plans as applicable . <br /> 5 . Update the MAXIMO Facility Inventory . <br /> 6 . If applicable , terminate any permit coverage for gasoline dispensing facilities with the <br /> local air compliance authority : <br /> 7 .
