COMPLAINANT STATES THEY WOKE UP THIS <br /> MORNING FEELING NAUSEOUS AND HAS VOMITED 3 TIMES SINCE THEN. COMPLAINANT STATES THEY CALLED <br /> THE FACILITY TO INFORM THEM OF FOOD POISONING AND WAS ALLEGEDLY TOLD BY AN EMPLOYEE THAT THE <br /> BLOOMING ONION AND FRIED PICKLES COMMONLY MAKE CUSTOMERS SICK. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Manager states that no similar complaints have been received. <br /> Manager states that no employees have been ill with similar symptoms within the time frame of the complaint). <br /> Per Manager: <br /> Onion Blossoms: raw onions are received whole,onions are prepped (peeled,washed and cut)and stored at the fry station 2 <br /> drawer prep until needed for an order. Onion is dipped in ice water bath, put in batter and then breading (repeated twice), put <br /> in the fryer and fried 1 1/2 minutes per side-3 minutes total. <br /> Rattlesnake bites(similar to jalapeno poppers): balls are received pre-made and frozen.They are stored in the 2 door salad <br /> prep frig until needed for an order.
