Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed the following: <br /> -an adult live cockroach and two live baby cockroaches on the wall of the kitchen <br /> -an adult live cockroach on the conduit above the ware washing sink <br /> -several juvenile cockroaches on and around the hot water heater <br /> -many dead cockroaches behind shelves in the ware washing room (50+) <br /> Clean and sanitize areas immediately. Increase pest control measures. Discard any contaminated items immediately. (REPEAT) <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br /> assigned duties. Both hand sinks were blocked by rice steamers. One hand <br /> sink lacked handles on the faucet and paper towels were not inside the dispenser. The other hand sink lacked soap and <br /> paper towels. One hand sink needs to be complete with warm and cold water, soap and paper towels in dispensers and not <br /> blocked by a rice steamer.
