HSC 117960-LOG shall file MWMP with the EA <br /> OBSERVATION:Medical Waste Management Plan was received by the EA during inspection, <br /> however the MWMP is lacking information. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION:Provide the following information in the MWMP for this facility: <br /> Phone Number,Business Type,Emergency Action Plan, Closure Plan,and Operator <br /> Certification. <br /> RESPONSE: <br /> The Environmental Health and Safety(EHS)Department of the Red Cross is currently in the <br /> process of updating the California Regulated Medical Waste Management Program (0.0). <br /> This update will include adding two contact phone numbers, one for the Field Quality Director <br /> of the California regions and the other for the Safety Manager responsible for supporting <br /> California operations. These additions will be added to section III A of the California <br /> Regulated Medical Waste Program. This change will also include the signature of the <br /> individual responsible for ensuring that all the information in the plan is true and accurate. <br /> These changes will be implemented by January 26, 2024. <br /> Of note,the current version of the California Regulated Medical Waste Program (0.0) already <br /> includes the Business Type in section III C (Attachment 1), and as previously discussed during <br /> our telephone conversation on December 11,2023, Emergency Action Plan,Closure Plan and <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
