All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Facility Address. Post facility address on sign chart within one week <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Loose handrails. Tighten loose handrails within two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br />OBSERVATIONS: Test Kit. Provide a test kit on site within one month. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine, pH, and <br />cyanuric acid (if used) at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br />type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine, so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. <br />(CCR 65529) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Two flappers missing inside skimmers. Provide missing flappers within two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br />#35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: Flow meter. Clean flow meter or replace meter with a functional one within one month. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
