Ensure that chlorine and pH are tested daily and CYA <br />once per month. Start start testing pH and Chlorine daily and recording results. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br />Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br />necessary to maintain the concentration below0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br />for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool shell has large chunks missing and one large crack that could be causing leak. Repair the pool <br />shell so that it is water proof and smooth before the next routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 3108B) <br />#37 Electrical Hazards <br />OBSERVATIONS: THe light has water seeping into it, and the GFI breaker is stuck. Repair these within one month so light <br />and GFI breaker function properly. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter.
