01./31/2006 19:14 FAX 916679290 URS-SACRAMENTO-GO IZ003/009 <br /> Mr.Robert McClellon <br /> January 31,2006 <br /> Page 2 <br /> RFSULTS <br /> The methane concentrations in VW-1,VW-2,VW-3,VW-7S,VW-7D,VW-8S,VW-9,and VW-10 <br /> were 0 percent.The methane concentrations in VW-4,VW-5S,VW-51),VW-6S,VW-61),VW-8D, <br /> EW-1,and EW-2 were 6.7%, 14.7%, 13.9%, 15.7%, 10.2%,0.1%, 17.0%and 16.5%,respectively.The <br /> oxygen concentration in all probes ranged from 0 to 21.2 percent.The carbon dioxide concentration in <br /> all probes ranged from 0.7 to 31.2 percent.The results for each probe are summarized in Table 1. <br /> CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Methane was measured above 5.0%in VW4,VW-5S,VW-5D,VW-6S,VW-SD,EW-1 and EW 2. <br /> Based on the most recent quarterly results,we recommend that the vapor extraction pilot test be <br /> completed when the permits to complete the pilot tests are approved by the San Joaquin Valley Air <br /> Pollution Control District and site and weather conditions allow for such activities. <br /> If you have any questions,please give me a call at(916)679-2081. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> URS Corporation Americas <br /> f0vilgineer <br /> Enclosures: Table 1—Summary of Results <br /> Figure 1—Site Plan <br />
