Odor Control Plan
Greene Brothers Farm shall protect the health and well-being of its personnel as well that of the
community -at -large by preventing the odor generated from cannabis on-site from creating a
negative impact. Accordingly, Greene Brothers Farm, has designed the following Odor Control
Plan to mitigate against the possible nuisance.
Odor Mitigation Plan
The Indoor Cultivation, Manufacturing, and Distribution facilities shall be equipped with 3 -Ton
commercial HVAC systems to provide constant air ventilation for employees, visitors, and third -
party vendors on site. All cannabis products provided to customers for retail or distribution shall
be contained in sealed, tamper -evident, smell -proof packaging prior to leaving the facility.
Furthermore, areas housing bulk cannabis product, or utilized for the processing of cannabis
products, including the Safe Rooms, as well as the Processing/ Packaging Room and Cannabis
Waste Holding and Destruction Room, shall be equipped with industrial carbon filters which will
scrub the interior atmosphere of all potentially offensive odors of cannabis.
Finally, the Processing/ Packaging Room and Cannabis Waste Holding and Destruction Room
(Distribution), as well as the Safe Rooms will be equipped with 14 -inch filtered exhaust fans
which will ensure no odor of cannabis emanates into the external atmosphere from within the
facility.
Placement of Fans
The 14 -inch filtered exhaust fans shall be placed strategically placed throughout the facility to
eliminate odors. Please refer to the floor plan to view where the equipment will be installed.
System Maintenance/ Staff Training
Once effective odor control has been established, periodic testing shall be conducted to ensure
that the odor control systems are operating to maintain the baseline. As the carbon filters and
other air filtration equipment age, they will be frequently monitored and replaced as necessary.
Facility Managers shall inspect the interior and exterior of the facilities daily to verify the
effectiveness of the odor control measures being utilized. The Facility Managers are responsible
to train and educate all staff members about the importance of odor control. Each staff member
will be trained initially during the new hire orientation. Each staff member will understand what
the duties are when it comes to controlling odor. Staff will be trained to report all incidents and/
or concerns regarding odor to management. There will also be regularly scheduled maintenance
intervals in which the Facility Managers will oversee to ensure that all equipment is operating
properly, and that the equipment is efficient in eliminating odor.
Through the use of the 14 -inch filtered exhaust fans, the industrial carbon filters, and Greene
Brothers Farm attention to the maintenance of the odor control system, the risk of odor escaping
the facility is eliminated.
