Repair/replace body hook so that it is a <br />minimum of 12 feet with a permanently affixed hook . Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Several areas of the pool deck have large gaps where the wooden expanders are missing. Fill gaps so the <br />pool deck is smooth with no trip hazards. Correct today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with <br />the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of <br />any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool light was non-operational. Repair/replace pool light so that it is in good working order within three <br />days. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of <br />the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck <br />lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and <br />shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool water was observed cloudy. Maintain pool water clean and clear. Correct today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Minor pitting was observed in the pool shell. Plan to re-plaster pool in the future. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated <br />brushing, and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
