<br /> <br />Lovelace MRF and Transfer Station Department of Public Works/Solid Waste Division <br />Transfer Processing Report 4 County of San Joaquin <br />September 16, 2024 <br />1.6.5 Parking <br />Separate parking areas are available at the LTS (Figure 2). One parking area is provided for <br />personal vehicles, such as those used by employees and visitors. Disabled and van accessible <br />spaces are provided. The second parking area is for transfer trailers and heavy equipment. <br /> <br />1.7 ADJACENT LAND USE <br />Land use within 1,000 feet of the LTS includes agricultural uses: vineyards and nut groves to the <br />north, west and east. The nearest residence is located on a large agricultural parcel within 300 <br />feet from the facility. <br /> <br />1.8 AREA CLIMATOLOGY <br />The mean annual rainfall for the area is approximately 16 inches, received between October and <br />April, with January typically the wettest month. Summer temperatures typically range between <br />53 and 92 deg Fahrenheit (F). Winter temperatures range between 35 and 53 deg F, rarely <br />dropping below freezing. <br /> <br />In addition, waste and material unloading is conducted inside the Transfer Station and/or under <br />cover which prevents litter migration from wind and contact with storm water. <br /> <br />1.9 SUPERVISION AND PERSONNEL <br />The operator maintains adequate numbers of qualified personnel to ensure the proper operation <br />of the station. Personnel are cross-trained to provide coverage in the event that an employee is <br />unavailable for work. The LTS staff responsible for the day to day operation of the facility is listed <br />below: <br />
