I received two reports today regarding student illnesses following lunch: Great Valley Elementary School (Stockton): Seven students complained of stomach aches after eating the breaded chicken on the menu, with two students being sent home sick. George Komure Elementary School: A parent reported that her child experienced stomachache and diarrhea after eating the breaded chicken. She also claimed that the chicken appeared pink. The breaded chicken drumstick served is a fully cooked product (product info attached). It was prepared at August Knodt Elementary School and then transported to both George Komure and Great Valley before meal service. The chicken was cooked to the correct internal temperature and held within appropriate guidelines. As a reminder, we use time as a public 3
