• Cal/OSHA protects and improves the health and safety of <br />workers by: <br />▪Setting and enforcing standards <br />▪Providing outreach, education, and assistance <br />▪Issuing permits, licenses, certifications, registrations, and <br />approvals <br />Hazard Communication <br />Cal/OSHA is the State agency that is responsible for setting and enforcing standards in  <br />order to protect and improve the health and safety of workers. To  ensure that workers have  <br />a safe work environment, Cal/OSHA will also provide outreach, education, and assistance  <br />to businesses. Additionally, Cal/OSHA is responsible for the issuance of permits, licenses,  <br />certifications, registrations, and approvals for employee safety. <br />5
