Provide a corrective <br />action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br />within 30 days. <br />This is (Minor) Violation. <br />CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2) 3030013 - Accumulated hazardous waste in containers that are in good <br />condition. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste was found stored on-site in containers that are not in good condition. <br />- One black 55 gallon drum in the hazardous waste storage area was observed with severe rusting and a large hole <br />near the bottom of the drum. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in a containers that are in good condition. If a container <br />holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it begins to <br />leak, the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in good <br />condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition. Provide <br />a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is (Minor) Violation. <br /> 24 <br />CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2) 3030017 - Containers of hazardous waste closed except when adding or <br />removing waste. <br />OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br />- One black 55 gallon drum in the hazardous waste storage area was observed with the lid unlocked. <br />- One black 55 gallon drum in the hazardous waste storage area was observed without the bung plug on top of the lid. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and storage , <br />except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste.
