Inspection report emailed to Nicasio Lopez, Associate Hazardous Materials Specialist, at Nicasio.Lopez(cDcdcr.ca.Qov. <br /> 2. Biohazard labels were used in the Diagnostics/Imaging & Procedure area on carts used for holding dirty instruments (see <br /> PHOTO 1) and biohazard labels were used on trays that are used for clean instruments in the Outpatient Medical & Dental <br /> Clinic(see PHOTO 7). This practice is not approved by the LEA. Remove all biohazard labels from the carts and trays. <br /> 3. When biohazard waste containers are no longer being used for medical waste then the biohazard labels should be removed. <br /> 4. Operator is encouraged to keep treatment/tracking records in a binder. <br /> 5. Biohazardous waste, sharps waste, pharmaceutical waste and chemotherapy waste are generated at the site. Biohazardous <br /> waste and sharps waste is treated at the site, and all other waste is hauled by Med-Waste Systems. <br /> 6. The secondary containers are doubled lined. The containers are first lined with an autoclave bag and then lined with a <br /> biohazard bag. <br /> 7. The following areas were inspected: Pharmacy, Imaging/Diagnostics, Standby Emergency, Dialysis, Medical/Dental Clinic, <br /> Patient Management Unit A, Outpatient Medical/Dental, Yard B (131A), Yard C (C1A), Yard D (D1A), ECHO, and the <br /> warehouse. <br /> 8. The lids of the biohazard waste containers require force to completely close and cover the containers. The lids are deformed <br /> from heat while cleaning. Operator is to replace deformed lids. <br /> Reinspecion on/about: A reinspection fee of$179 per hour may be charged. Page 4 of 4 <br /> EH-2/2023 <br />
