Quick-N-Save #1 - 2 - 20 April 2023
2. Collection of a deeper grab groundwater sample to the northeast of CPT-12 is
needed for vertical delineation in this direction. This grab groundwater sample
should be collected from approximately 20 feet below the bottom of the well
screen for the well referenced in comment 1. The exact sample location should
be based on encountered geology during drilling. The sample can be collected
from the same borehole as the well discussed in comment 1, provided steps are
taken to prevent cross-contamination.
3. Additional delineation is needed to the southeast of the Site at a depth of
approximately 60 to 70 ft bgs. Frey recommended two additional wells one
approximately 200 feet south of CPT-9 and one approximately 250 feet south of
CPT-10. Staff concur with these locations and proposed screen intervals.
4. As a cost saving measure, staff are willing to reduce the groundwater monitoring
program. Please include a proposed groundwater monitoring program in the
work plan.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via phone at (916) 704-4896
or via email at vera.fscher@waterboards.ca.gov.
Sincerely,
SS19ut Gq
Vera Fischer, P.G. o` pRick 00
Engineering Geologist
M
9542
do ar
t
Galvin Kauffman, P.G. 9542 r4lor CX1F4`
Senior Engineering Geologist
cc: Mr. Joe Frey, Frey Environmental, Inc., Newport Beach (email)
Mr. Kent Tucker, Frey Environmental, Inc.
