Monitoring system functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system, including all sensors, must be verified to ensure monitoring has been restored to meet the requirements of CCR Title 23 and California Health & Safety Code (HSC) Chapter 6.7. Since concrete will be broken near the diesel tank, a secondary containment test must be performed on the diesel tank once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. The facility cannot receive fuel in the diesel tank prior to the EHD inspection and approval. 6. Any individual installing underground storage systems or components must possess, or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while work is being performed who possesses, all of the following: • One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) • A current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code Council (ICC) • A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being installed 7. Any individual performing the work of a service technician must possess, or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while work is being performed who possesses, all of the following: • One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the CSLB • A current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the ICC • A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being tested, or the developer of the testing equipment or test method(s) being used 8. Individuals working under the direct supervision of a qualified UST installer or UST service technician must, at a minimum, be employed by the person with the CSLB license and possess all manufacturer certificates of training for the equipment on which they are working. 9. The tank owner or operator shall log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/ and ensure all UST information is current. 10. This permit expires 180 days from the date of approval. If an extension to the expiration date is required, a written request must be submitted to this office prior to the expiration date.
