The following is an itemized list of hazardous materials violations that have not <br />been addressed for CALCHEF FOODS, LLC DBA KEVIN'S NATURAL FOODS as <br />of February 24, 2025. <br />Open violations from April 04, 2024 inspection <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #7 - Failed to electronically submit an adequate ER procedures for a release or threatened release. <br />OBSERVATION: The emergency response(ER) procedures were lacking or inadequate. CERS has not yet been <br />completed by facility. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A business plan shall include the following emergency response procedures for a <br />release or threatened release of hazardous materials, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />- immediate notification of local emergency personnel and the Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br />- procedures for the mitigation of a release or threatened release to minimize any potential harm or damage to <br />persons, property, or the environment <br />- evacuation plans and procedures, including immediate notice, for the site <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at <br />http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, upload the correct or updated information, and submit to the EHD for approval. <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #8 - Failed to establish and electronically submit a reasonable or an adequate training program. <br />OBSERVATION: A training program was lacking. CERS has not yet been completed by facility. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Training programs for all employees and annual training, including refresher courses, <br />shall include familiarity with the facility's Emergency response plans and procedures in the event of a release or <br />threatened release of a hazardous material. Training shall cover, but not limited to, all of the following: <br />(A) Immediate notification contacts to the appropriate local emergency response personnel and to the unified <br />program agency. <br />(B) Procedures for the mitigation of a release or threatened release to minimize any potential harm or damage to <br />persons, property, or the environment. <br />(C) Evacuation plans and procedures, including immediate notice, for the business site. <br /> These training programs may take into consideration the position of each employee. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately prepare or update the facility's training program, log into the California <br />Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, upload the correct or updated information, <br />and submit to the EHD for approval. <br />Page 3 of 4
