Before mobilizing for fieldwork, the necessary equipment must be identified based on the <br /> sampling type. <br /> • A bound, waterproof field logbook (FLB; e.g., Rite in the Rain"' or similar) with pre-numbered <br /> consecutive pages for field documentation <br /> [PFAS Project]: Use field logbook made of standard/loose plain paper(non-weatherproof), <br /> held together by an aluminum or Masonite field clipboard.Alternatively, a spiral-bound <br /> notebook with non-weatherproof paper and/or cover can be used. <br /> • Waterproof, indelible pens/markers in black or blue ink <br /> [PFAS Project]: Ball-point pens: do not use markers,felt pens, or pens with water resistant <br /> ink <br /> • Sampling gloves <br /> • Laboratory-supplied sample containers, preservatives, labels,chain of custody,custody seals,and <br /> temperature blanks <br /> • Ice (gel or bag ice, determine which is appropriate) <br /> • Zip-top plastic bags <br /> • Stainless steel mixing bowls, pans, or trays <br /> • Decontamination equipment and supplies (e.g., wash/rinse tubs, brushes, LiquinoxT"^, plastic <br /> sheeting, paper towels, sponges, garden-type water sprayers, large plastic bags (minimum 0.85 <br /> mils), potable water, distilled water, or deionized water) <br /> • Survey stakes,flags, or whiskers <br /> • Personal protective equipment(PPE) <br /> • TerraCoreTM (or EnCoreTM)samplers if VOC or TPH-GRO analyses are needed.
