OBSERVATION:The business has not updated and submitted the information within 30 days for multiple chemicals listed in the hazardous materials inventory, including: -During the inspection,the hazardous materials inventory stated that 1,000,000 cubic feet of nitrogen gas are stored on site in the northern part of the nitrogen facility area, chemical storage area.Three 8,000-10,000 gallon tanks containing nitrogen were observed between buildings 4&6. REGULATION GUIDANCE: Within 30 days of one the following events, business shall electronically update the information submitted to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS): a)A 100 percent or more increase in the quantity of a previously disclosed material. b)Any handling of a previously undisclosed hazardous materials c)A change of business or facility address d)Change business ownership e)Change of business name f)(1)A substantial change in the handler's operations occurs that requires modification to any portion of the business plan. (2)For the purpose of this subdivision, "substantial change"means any change in a facility that would inhibit immediate response during an emergency by either site personnel or emergency response personnel, or that could inhibit the handler's ability to comply with Section 25507, change the operational knowledge of the facility, or impede implementation of the business plan. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/, enter the correct or updated information for all chemicals stored in reportable quantities, and submit to the EHD for approval.
