parking area is used at night, shall be provided with exterior lighting that meets the following <br /> minimum standards: <br /> (A) The equivalent of one foot candle of illumination shall be provided throughout the parking area. <br /> (Development Title Section 9-406.060(m)(1)) <br /> (B) All lighting shall be on a time clock or photo-sensor system so as to be turned off during <br /> daylight hours and during any hours when the parking area is not in use. This requirement <br /> does not apply to security lighting. (Development Title Section 9-406.060(m)(2)) <br /> (C) All lighting shall be designed to confine direct rays to the premises. No spillover beyond the <br /> property line shall be permitted, except onto public roads, provided, however, that <br /> such light shall not cause a hazard to motorists. (Development Title Section 9-406.060(m)(3)) <br /> (2) Any area lighting, including illuminated signs, shall be installed in such a manner so as not to <br /> distract passing traffic, or to produce any glare or excessive illumination on adjacent lots. <br /> (Development Title Section 9-409.410(a)(3)) <br /> k. SIGNS: Signs shall comply with the following: <br /> (1) Signs may be located on a building wall, canopy fascia, under canopy, mansard roof, or roof, and <br /> may face a parking lot, mall, street, driveway, walkway, alley, or freeway. (Development Title <br /> Section 9-408.0700)(1)) <br /> (2) All freestanding signs shall be located on the lot or parcel on which the use identified is located, <br /> except in a commercial, office, or industrial complex where such a sign may be located on any lot <br /> or parcel in the complex where the use identified is located. (Development Title Section 9- <br /> 408.0700)(2)) <br /> (3) All portions of a sign must be setback a minimum of five feet from all property lines. (Development <br /> Title Section 9-408.0700)(3)) <br /> (4) Building signs shall not project more than 12 inches from the building fagade on which they are <br /> placed with the following exceptions. <br /> (A) Mansard and Roof Signs may project such a distance from the face of the roof necessary for <br /> the sign face to be perpendicular to the floor of the building <br /> (B) Blade, Marquee, and Three-dimensional Signs may be oriented perpendicular to the adjacent <br /> wall of the business being identified. <br /> 2.
