Environmental Health Department <br />CP22 - HW SQG Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />June 16, 2025 <br /> Facility Address: <br />1124 N INTERNATIONAL PKWY, TRACY <br /> Facility Name: <br />MOUNTAIN HOUSE CHEVRON <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br />This is (Class 1) Violation. <br />CA Health and Safety Code 25189.5(a) 3050002 - Disposed of hazardous waste at an authorized location. <br />OBSERVATION: Store Manager, Sunny Bhuttay stated that he took the hazardous waste generated on site including <br />used absorbent and a dispenser hose out of the facility's hazardous waste drum, placed it in a bucket and drove it to a <br />fuel station in San Jose for disposal. He stated that he did this because he was having a hard time finding a hazardous <br />waste hauler to pick it up. The hazardous waste was transported to Coleman Chevron at 510 New Haul Drive in San <br />Jose. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the causing thereof, is prohibited when the <br />disposal is at a facility which does not have a permit from the department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any <br />point which is not authorized according to this chapter. Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of only by transportation <br />to a permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility (TSDF) or other authorized point. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately cease disposal of all hazardous waste including used absorbent and dispenser <br />hoses at Coleman Chevron, 510 New Haul Drive in San Jose. Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is (Class 1) Violation. <br /> 18 <br />CA Code of Regulations 66262.16(b) 3030010 - Disposed of hazardous waste within 180 days of accumulation <br />start date. <br />OBSERVATION: The following hazardous waste containers were found on-site with an accumulation start date of <br />greater than 180 days: <br />-One 55-gallong drum with a hazardous waste label and an accumulation start date of 8/1/2023. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66262.16. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 180 days in <br />compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action statement and a copy of the <br />disposal records to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. <br />This is (Class 2) Violation. <br /> 21 <br />CA Code of Regulations 66262.16(b)(4) 3030007 - Labeled all containers or portable tanks containing hazardous <br />waste. OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br />were: -One 55-gallon drum with a hazardous waste label missing the hazardous properties of the contents. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the words <br />“Hazardous Waste”, name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition (contents), <br />accumulation start date <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
