TPH <br /> Three (3) soil samples were collected and analyzed for TPH (full-range organics) via EPA Method 8015B. All soil <br /> TPH-Gasoline Range Organics (TPH-GRO), TPH-Diesel Range Organics (TPH-DRO), and TPH-Oil Range Organics <br /> (TPH-ORO) results were below detection limits and are below the applicable industrial/commercial screening <br /> levels. The soil TPH results are presented in Table 2. <br /> Metals <br /> Three (3) soil samples were collected and analyzed for CAM 17 metals via EPA Methods 6010B and 7471A, which <br /> include the following: antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, chromium (total and hexavalent), cobalt, <br /> copper, lead, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, selenium, silver, thallium, vanadium, and zinc. Low concentrations <br /> of the following metals were detected in one or more samples: arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, <br /> cobalt, copper, lead, mercury, nickel, selenium, vanadium, and zinc. Detected concentrations of metals from all <br /> samples were within the expected background levels when compared to soil in California (Kearney Foundation <br /> Special Report, Background Concentrations of Trace and Major Elements in California Soils, 1996). Arsenic was <br /> detected in soil samples above the USEPA RSL of 3.0 mg/kg in two out of three soil samples collected. However, <br /> concentrations of detected arsenic fall within the known background concentration range of 0.6 mg/kg to 11.0 <br /> mg/kg (Kearney, 1996). No other exceedances of respective screening levels were noted with regards to metals <br /> in soil. The soil metals results are presented in Table 3. <br /> 5.2 Soil Vapor Results <br /> Three (3) soil vapor samples were collected from sample locations SB1 through SB3 and analyzed for VOCs via <br /> EPA Method TO-15. Soil vapor results are presented in Table 4. <br /> The following VOCs were detected in one or more soil vapor samples analyzed: acetone, benzene, 2-butanone, <br /> carbon disulfide, chloromethane, 2-chlorotoluene, cyclohexane, dichlorodifluoromethane, ethylbenzene, <br /> ethanol, 4-ethyltoluene, heptane, hexane, methylene chloride, methyl isobutyl ketone, methyl butyl ketone, <br /> methyl methacrylate, MTBE, naphthalene, isopropyl benzene, 2-propanol (isopropyl alcohol), propene, styrene, <br /> tetrahydrofuran, tetrachloroethene, toluene, 1,2-dichlorotetrafluoroethane, trichlorofluoromethane, 1,3,5- <br /> trimethyl benzene, 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, 2,2,4-trimethylpentane, m,p-xylene, and o-xylene. The remaining <br /> VOCs are below detection limits for the soil vapor samples analyzed. <br /> All soil vapor results are below their respective ESLs, where published, with the exception of benzene and <br /> naphthalene. The elevated soil vapor results are summarized below: <br /> Benzene was detected in two out of three soil vapor samples analyzed above the soil gas ESL for benzene <br /> (14 micrograms per cubic meter [µg/m3]) for industrial/commercial properties. Benzene soil vapor <br /> concentrations range from 12.0 µg/m3 to 29.5 µg/m3 in the three samples analyzed. <br /> Naphthalene was detected in one (SB2-SV) out of three soil vapor samples analyzed at a concentration <br /> (13.3 µg/m3) above the soil gas ESL for naphthalene (12 µg/m3) for industrial/commercial properties. <br /> Naphthalene soil vapor concentrations range from below detection limits to 13.3 µg/m3 in the three <br /> samples analyzed. <br /> Phase II Limited Subsurface Investigation <br /> Fulcrum Resources Environmental 2546 Turnpike Road,Stockton, California 95206 <br /> 202107-8656 <br /> 10 <br />
