Injury and Illness <br /> Prevention Program 2.22 <br /> 1. PURPOSE <br /> Roux Associates, Inc. and its affiliated companies, Roux Environmental Engineering and Geology, D.P.C., and <br /> Remedial Engineering (collectively, "Roux"), have established this Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)to <br /> assist in preventing workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.Additionally, this program has been developed to <br /> ensure compliance with Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, Sections 1509 (T8 CCR 1509)and 3203 (T8 <br /> CCR 3203). <br /> 2. SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY <br /> The Roux IIPP program applies to all employees working in the State of California and to all operations performed <br /> in the State of California. <br /> 3. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Roux's Injury and Illness Prevention Program Administrator is the Corporate Health and Safety Director(CHSD), <br /> Brian Hobbs, CIH, CSP. The daily administration of the IIPP is delegated to the Operations Manager (OM). The <br /> CHSD has the authority, responsibility, and overall accountability for the comprehensive implementation of <br /> this IIPP. <br /> All managers and supervisors shall implement and maintain the IIPP in work areas, answer worker questions <br /> regarding the IIPP,and encourage employee input regarding safety issues and possible corrective actions.A copy <br /> of the IIPP will be maintained on the Roux intranet site and available on job sites. <br /> All employees, including management, are responsible for complying with safe and healthful work practices, <br /> actively participating in the safety program, and implementing all directives, policies, and procedures. Roux <br /> ensures that all workers comply through the implementation of the following: <br /> • Informing workers of the provisions of our IIPP. <br /> • Evaluating the safety performance of all workers during annual performance reviews. <br /> • Promoting and recognizing employees who perform safe and healthful work practices. <br /> • Providing further coaching and training to workers whose safety performance is deemed deficient. <br /> • Disciplining workers for failure to comply with safe and healthful work practices, as appropriate. <br /> Employee Responsibilities <br /> Employees are expected to actively participate in the organization's IIPP, which includes the following <br /> responsibilities: <br /> • Follow safety and health procedures, including: <br /> o General safety rules as stated in Appendix A: Safe Work Practices. <br /> o Protective measures outlined on JSAs (Appendix B) and in training. <br /> o Standard operating procedures and JSAs. <br /> o The organization's drug and alcohol policy. <br /> o Applicable standards of OSHA& Cal/OSHA. <br /> • Learn about the potential hazards in your workplace. <br /> • Immediately report all hazardous conditions, injuries, and near misses to management or a safety <br /> committee representative. <br /> 03/2025 Corporate Health and Safety Management Program I ROUX 11 <br />
