1. INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Overview <br /> This Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) document was prepared by Geosyntec <br /> Consultants, Inc. (Geosyntec) on behalf of the Port of Stockton for the installation of <br /> groundwater monitoring wells at Rough and Ready Island, Stockton,California.The SOP <br /> conforms to the California Department of Water Resources(DWR) Water Well Standards <br /> Bulletin Numbers 74-81 and 74-90 (DWR, 1990). Field forms to be used during the field <br /> activities are provided in attachments. <br /> Included in this SOP are the procedures, equipment needs, field documentation forms, <br /> project planning, and field implementation steps for specific field tasks. Overall, the <br /> SOPS listed below provide general methods and procedures that may be changed due to <br /> variations in field conditions. Such changes will be approved by the project manager and <br /> Port prior to implementation in the field. <br /> i <br />
