and hydrated to provide a seal above the filter pack. The remainder of the borehole will
be tremmie filled with a Portland Type II-V cement grout to the ground surface.
Dependent on the wells location the surface completions will either consist of flush
mounted traffic rated well boxes or above ground stove-pipe completions with bollards.
1.4 Well Development
After a minimum of 72 hours following each well installation, the new monitoring well(s)
will be developed. Development will consist of a combination of bailing, and surging and
pumping. Groundwater quality parameters (temperature, pH, specific conductance, and
turbidity) will be measured during purging activities. The well(s) will be developed to
remove the fine-grained materials inside the filter pack and casing, to stabilize the filter
pack around the well screen, and to produce representative water samples from the water-
bearing zone. Monitoring well development should be performed in accordance with a
monitoring well development SOP.
1.5 Survevim
Following installation, the location, ground surface elevation, and top of casing
measuring point elevation of each monitoring well will be surveyed. The locations will
be surveyed by a California licensed surveyor.
3
